In The Morning Album Launch Spectacular at Gramercy Theater

It's cause for celebration. The Shivers have just released their new album, In The
Morning, which they're quite proud of and want to party! State Capital Records has released the
album which can be found here. Keith and Jo tear it up the way they were meant to. No hired
guns. No Protools. No Nonsense! All tape and all rock!
Come join us where Live Nation has somehow given Keith the whole night to book at
a legit Manhattan theater (the same one where Lou Reed recently did his Metal Machine Music trio!).
Joining The Shivers on the bill are good friends Peter and the Wolf and Brooklyn's own,
The Midnight Show.
There will be FREE MILK AND COOKIES (baked by Jo) and Keith has plenty of tricks up
his sleeve as well (as usual). In fact, Keith says the following about the show “I want this night to be
special, a celebration, a reminder of why I fell in love with rock ‘n roll music when I was young and used
to go to a rock show and felt it was magical. I want to bring some magic back, enough of the BS, it's time
for revolution!” Enough said.

Catching up with The Shivers

The Shivers release their 4th album, In The Morning, on April 17th. The album marks a
new beginning for the band now operating as a duo and expanding the sound. The
album was made largely in a yellow windowless room in Queens, NY over the final
months of 2008 although some of it comes from earlier recordings made in Montreal,
QC by Keith during a lonely sojourn in 2005.
Jo is playing a lot of Yamaha Electone organ on it. Keith is rocking some sampler.
They both duet on their first proper dance song "Only In It For the $$$" with good friend
and Master Mastering Engineer, Alex Saltz on drums. Everyone is pretty proud of the
album that was done all on tape.
Now back from a two–month National tour adventure through the strange land
called America, which also included the recording of yet another album in Los Angeles,
The Shivers gear up for their big release show for In the Morning at the Blender Theatre
in Manhattan on May 18th. Yes, things are looking up for The Shivers these days and
they‘re working hard and keeping busy. But I want you to always remember that if you
have a dream in your soul you have to follow that dream no matter what. I wish love for
you all. And on and on and on and on...
